It's a tough time in America. President Kennedy has been assassinated and his Vice President, Lyndon Johnson has been sworn in as president, as the nation mourns. Johnson is focused on making sweeping changes across America, with his plan which is known as the "Great Society". Johnson is passionate about ending poverty and hunger in America. Yet, he is not successful in achieving his goals because the conflict in Vietnam is taking too much of his attention, too much of America's money and resources and sadly too many of our young men who have been sent across the ocean to fight in a guerrilla-style, jungle war that they are not prepared for. The younger kids learned about the culture of Vietnam, and made these awesome dragons to remind them of the struggles and celebrations of Vietnam.
