The war is no longer contained to just Europe. A vicious dictator has taken control in Japan and he threatens to spread his dangerous regime throughout Asia. Japan has also joined with Germany and Italy, and together they are the Axis Powers. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese, the United States formally enters the war, and joins Allied Powers Britain and Russia. The history classes continue to work on WWII projects. The Lower Grammar class built bomb shelters. The Dialectic class completed their air raid shelter projects. And, the Upper Grammar kids worked on props for the play they will be performing, based on Franklin Roosevelt's Fireside Chats. The Five in a Row class read the book, "Cranberry Thanksgiving." They made beautiful cranberry wreaths.
