This week, our studies continue to take us around the world! We've moved a bit to the east of India, and are taking an in-depth look at China this week! The older classes studied the policies and politics of China. Specifically the policies and rule of Mao Zedong. They learned about the economic and political consequences of his decisions. The younger classes learned about the culture, people, geography and food of China! They really enjoyed having the chance to sample some Chinese food treats! The Five in a Row class read the book, "How to Make and Apple Pie and See the World." In this deliciously charming book, the reader is taken around the world to gather the ingredients to make an apple pie! What fun!
