Co-op in Review: February 9, 2017

This week, our history studies took all of our classes to the heart of the American Civil War.  The classes learned about the people, battles and events of the Civil War.  All of the classes focused some attention on the Gettysburg Address, while the older kids also studied the importance of the Emancipation Proclamation.  The Lower Grammar class made Lincoln log cabins and adorable Abe Lincoln top hats.  The Upper Grammar class played a Civil War shooting Game.  The Dialectic class started a weeks-long Civil War simulation and the Rhetoric class continued working on their Civil War flag project.  The Five in a Row class read the book, "The Raft."  They made a cute raft craft out of popsicle sticks!
