This week, all of our classes pushed the pause button on their studies of the United States and Europe, and took a close look at happenings in Asia. The Lower Grammar and Upper Grammar classes discussed the unique landscapes of China and Japan. The Lower Grammar class made awesome dragons out of egg cartons. The Upper Grammar kids learned the art of origami. The Dialectic kids sampled some delicious Asian cuisine. And, the Rhetoric class studied more in depth topics like the Opium wars and the British takeover of India. The Five in a Row class read the book, "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. And, of course they made an awesome paper mitten craft, too!
