This was a disastrous week at co-op! Meaning, we studied some pretty major disasters from the early 20th century. The younger kids studied the Great San Francisco Earthquake and the struggles of building the Panama Canal. Older kids learned about the sinking of the Titanic and the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. Our Speech Elective class delivered their first speeches as well--as they introduced themselves to the class. The Five in a Row class read the book, "Ask Mr. Bear." Our co-op year is off to a great start!
