The Roaring 20's! This week, we learned about the post-WWI culture in America. And, it was a time of rising hemlines and lowering inhibitions! Americans were ready to cut loose and have fun. And, they did. The kids also learned about an exclusively American form of music that developed in the 1920's--jazz! Our kids had fun making various jazz instruments, like trumpets, harmonicas and flutes. The Five in a Row class read the classic book, "Corduroy." They then made a very cute Corduroy bear craft!
