Our studies of World War I continue, but this week, the United States becomes involved in the now worldwide conflict. The Dialectic kids made propaganda posters, like those that would have been used to recruit Americans to the war effort. The Upper Grammar class made trench dioramas and the Lower Grammar class started to make paper mache WWI soldier hats. The Five in a Row class read the book, "Caps For Sale," and learned that selling caps is much easier without the trouble caused by a bunch of mischievous monkeys!
