This week, we started our studies of World War I, or the Great War. This week, the war is strictly an European affair and the United States has an isolationist philosophy. The Upper Grammar kids made periscopes out of pool noodles, the Lower Grammar kids made poppy art projects and the Dialectic kids continued to work on their World War I trench dioramas. The Five in a Row class enjoyed reading the book, "The Big Green Pocketbook."
